Radiotherapy for lung cancer can provide benefit for patients with both early-stage and locally advanced cancers. For medically inoperable patients with early stage lung cancer, stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) has emerged as a viable treatment modality with high rates of local control. For locally advanced unresectable lung cancer, external beam radiotherapy with concurrent chemotherapy is the current standard of care.
